One of the major steps of getting your sh*t together is t actually write down your goals. Obviously you’ve heard that before and everyone says that. But how and where do you start? Let’s go through the process of writing down our goals together.
First what I do is take post-its with all different colors, each color represents a category. (yes I’m ver old school and I like to write everything down) You can have as many categories as you like and you can make them as specific as you want. Here are some categories that you might want to use:
This are only a few examples, and they will be different for everyone. My advice is to not tackle as many goals and categories at once. It is hard to switch your life upside down. But you’ll have to make a change and start somewhere. As I said before one step at a time.
Secondly, I start thinking of what my ultimate dream life looks like. What goals to I want to achieve in order to get there? I start of with only 1-3 goals per category, and no end goals, just small goals. Which means it is just a stop along the road to make it eventually. For example: my end goal is to work out 4-5 times a week. But my starting goal was to do it 2 times a week. If I can keep up with this multiple weeks, months,… I can make it 3 times a week. But be conscious of what you will have to do to achieve a certain goal. Is this really what you want? Or is it that influencer that says it?
